math projects– straight from my classroom

My students were assigned a math project to work on for the last two weeks, and the due date was Monday, June 16th. To my dismay, only 17 out of the 46 students I have for Algebra 1 brought in their projects on the day it was due. However, after threatening to hand out detentions if they didn’t have it by Tuesday, most of my students brought projects in. Lets just say that it was clear that effort was not put into these projects.
